The route to Fuengirola aboard the Ocean Cruiser is the definitive coastal voyage for those who want to discover the Costa del Sol in all its splendour. Departing from the iconic Puerto Marina, you will leave the harbour behind and set out into the Alboran Sea aboard a majestic classic sailing yacht full of charm and authenticity.
During the journey you will admire the contrast between the infinite blue of the sea and the Andalusian coast, passing through beautiful coastal spots and enjoying a privileged view of the Bil-Bil Castle and the elegant profile of the Torrequebrada Casino.
Accompanied by our experienced captain and crew, you will experience the authentic essence of sailing. You can lie on the spacious sun deck, let the wind guide you and leave the daily stress behind. The boat is fully equipped for your comfort, with a toilet (WC) on board, shaded areas and a swim ladder for easy sea access. As we approach the Fuengirola coast we will find the perfect spot for a stop where you can take a dip in an utterly peaceful setting, turning the sailing yacht into your private floating club.
To refresh along the way, the service includes a soft drink or sangria per person per hour of sailing. As this is a medium-to-long journey, if you book the recommended 3h 30m route or any private charter of more than 2 hours, we will treat you to a complimentary bottle of cava. You are also welcome to bring your own food or snacks to enjoy while sailing back to port. Optionally, you can personalise the trip by adding the Mediterranean Pack when booking — a selection of snacks and local products for the group, designed to complete your experience with a traditional aperitif.

Important information
Meeting point
We depart from Puerto Marina, in Benalmádena. You will find us at Dársena de Levante, C. Levante, Atraque 298, Benalmádena. We recommend arriving 15 minutes before your departure time.
What to bring
- Swimming costume, beach towel and a change of clothes.
- Sun cream, a cap and sunglasses for the deck areas.
- A light jacket or windbreaker, especially if sailing outside the peak summer months or late in the afternoon.
- As this is a medium-duration route, if you are not used to sailing it is recommended to take seasickness tablets around 30 minutes before departure.
- A camera: the views of Bil-Bil Castle from the sea are spectacular.
About the activity
- Crew languages: Spanish, English and French.
- Pets: welcome, provided they do not compromise safety, under their owner’s supervision and with no additional charge.
- Capacity: up to 12 passengers, in addition to the crew. All children and babies occupy a full place under safety regulations.

The boat itself is lovely, a proper old wooden sailing yacht and the captain knew the coast really well, pointed out the casino and a few landmarks. That part we enjoyed. What let it down for us was the timing, we spent more of the trip motoring than actually sailing and the stop to swim felt rushed, maybe 15 minutes before we turned back. Also bring warm layers, on the way home it got surprisingly chilly and we werent prepared. Its a nice ride but manage your expectations on the sailing part.

Hi David, thanks for the honest feedback. On this route we sail whenever there's enough wind, but on calm days we rely more on the engine to keep to the timing, and the swim stop depends on the sea state that day, so I'm sorry it felt rushed. Good tip on the layers too, the return leg does cool down in the afternoon. Hope to have you back on a breezier day.
Booked this as a surprise for my husbands birthday and it was the highlight of our holiday. Seeing Bil-Bil castle from the water was gorgeous and the crew were so welcoming. The swim stop water was crystal clear.

Viajamos super confortables con mi familia, el paseo fue súper tranquilo, vimos muchos delfines y la tripulación súper simpática.

Cómo todos los años nos damos un paseo en este fantástico velero clásico. Un encanto Juan Carlos, su capitán. Hemos visto delfines y se hace corto una hora. Se agradece que nos den unos refrescos de forma totalmente gratuita. La tripulación de diez. Volveré como cada año.
Hoy hemos tenido la suerte de pasear en este increíble velero! Desde la contratación hasta el propio paseo ha sido de 10 el trato al cliente y la calidad del servicio! Sin duda repetiremos!!!!!
Aujourd'hui 26 septembre 2023, superbe balade au départ de 11h. Mer calme, 30°c, après un apéritif offert , au bout de 20 mn nous avons aperçu 4 dauphins. Pendant une dizaine de minutes. Ils nous ont même proposés de nous baigner. Forcément 1h ça passe vite , mais ce fut une belle balade depaysante.
Superbe experience. Le capitaine et son matelot parlent bien le français. Ils sont respectueux des dauphins. Nous en avons même vu tout près du bateau. Je recommande cette sortie en famille.
I had the great pleasure to do a trip on the Ocean Cruiser and I urge anyone looking to do a boat trip/charter to go on this vessel. The Ocean Cruiser has the proud heritage of having sailed twice round the world and has been on tv. This is a true classic yacht and to be able to share in this heritage for a 15€/20€ boat trip is incredible ! The owners are passionate about the sea and their customers and if you want a great day out, please book this yacht. The yacht is quality and the crew are quality. You can charter for yourself and crew or as a passenger with others. Saïd is the salesman who will sell you the ticket and the yacht is situated inside the Marina nearer to the Metro restaurant. Ask for Saïd ! Top guy ! 👍
Chaque année depuis 10 ans nous profitons d’un (ou de plusieurs 😁) tour(s) en bateau avec le capitaine Juan Carlos. Nous ne sommes jamais déçus!! Toujours agréable, il parle parfaitement le français et il a toujours des informations et des anecdotes intéressantes à nous donner sur la vie marine ou même la vie en Espagne…Le bateau est confortable et les dauphins viennent nous faire un petit coucou de temps en temps. Juan Carlos est très vigilant à la conservation de la nature, il ne chasse pas les dauphins mais il éteint son moteur et attend qu’ils viennent à lui naturellement: Nous en avons été témoins cet été 2022 alors que d’autres bateaux les pourchassaient en les terrifiant. Je le recommande vivement comme vous l’aurez compris et je lui dis: « à l’été prochain!! »😉
